I only had 350 copies pressed of my double CD Thumbnail Sketches. This album is a unique blend of jazz, rock, worldbeat, and reflective instrumental music, most of which was composed and recorded on my kalimba, or African Thumb Piano.

about
Originally called "Mist Trail"-- I composed it during a solo trip to Yosemite after hiking on that trail-- this tune became "Powderhorn Park" as it developed. "Powderhorn Park," particularly after the solos, has a happy parade feel. This reminded me of the Heart of the Beast May Day Parade in South Minneapolis, a wonderful, alternative type of May Day Parade, which ended at Powderhorn Park. I have two very happy memories of performing there: the first time with The Intuitive Bikers (I was playing drums), and the second with my kalimba band.
